ACR CONSULTING & DESIGN, LLC

Remodeling can be incredibly stressful, but it shouldn't give you an ulcer.  From finding the right contractor to picking the right backsplash, every detail will present its own challenges, and that's where we come in.  We have decades of experience designing and remodeling homes from every style and era in the Treasure Valley, whether it's a 1910 North Ender, a 1954 Ranch house on acreage, or a masterpiece from 1985.  Our experience sets us apart, and gives us an edge in guiding you through an important change, not just to your home, but the way your project will undoubtedly alter your life.

The Owner

Adam Carter received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oregon.  He started in construction working for his Father's remodeling business in high school.  After graduating he moved to Oregon and worked his way up from carpenter to Project Engineer / Manager, working on commercial buildings and multi million dollar custom homes.  In 2008 he returned to Boise to be closer to his family and became a Partner at Carter Construction.  At Carter Construction he was instrumental in estimating, designing, and phyiscally building each and every project, from start to finish.  Carter Construction personally designed every project they completed, and it's Adam's desire to spend more time helping people streamline an all-too-often daunting process that led to the creation of ACR Consulting & Design, LLC.

    DIY Remodeling

We applaud those who are courageous enough to endure the considerable difficulties associated with renovating their own homes.  Let's face it, remodeling is expensive, and creating your dream home with your own hands can not only save money, it's exhilarating!  The problem is, even experts need someone to bounce ideas off of, and everyone makes mistakes.  In reality, knowing how to frame a wall or lay tile won't solve all the problems you will undoubtedly face, and nobody wants to spend their hard earned savings on a project only to realize they didn't increase their homes value, or worse yet, the upgrades they made don't meet architectural standards. Our extensive remodeling experience can help you keep your project on track, avoid the most common remodeling mistakes, and save time and money.  We know which vendors to use and which to avoid, where your money will go the farthest, and when cutting corners will truly cost you.  We can help with all phases of your project, from painting tips, to building your own cabinetry, to finding an electrician or plumber you can trust.  You don't have to go it alone, and no matter what your project is, we strongly recommend you don't.
